Our Third Child In College!

Chris has started college this week! He is very excited, and we are very proud he is on a good path to accomplish his post high school goals. Chuck has issued a challenge that I'll keep quiet, so too public pressure will not be on Chris!
It was so much deja vu going over and getting all the final paper work done. What happened to all the 21ast century technology age where paperwork (and I thought line standing) will be obsolete?

The Ugly Truth

Looking for some comic relief, we went to the movies last night and OMG, this one is hilarious.

The Ugly Truth is rated R and it's not for kids.

The movie stars Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler.

Angela's First Art Show on July 25th

Angela has her first art show at the Doogallery on July 25th. It's a fun place! Below is a picture of her and I at a previous event there.

Also, visit Angela's web site, AE Designs, I like it.

Home in ATL

Chuck and I returned home in Atlanta yesterday afternoon after a 6 hour drive. It would have been 5 1/2, but that wonderful "leaving Myrtle Beach" traffic...... But, it is better than 7 1/2 to 8 hours. We are settling in, Chuck is back to work, and I found the most wonderful Kroger Store in the world! If I didn't know better, I would swear it was run by my dad.

Here are a few pics from the 4th of July. The first ones were taken during dinner/shopping at Broadway By The Beach. We did manage to get out there early, had dinner at 6, and made it back to the hotel by 9 (my parents are so proud right now!). On the fireworks photos, I was experimenting with the night setting on my camera without the benefit of a tripod, but the effect was not too bad.

Enjoying July 4th in MB

It’s been an amazing week here in Myrtle Beach. We have been relaxing and soaking up the sun, not doing much more. I did do some shopping on Thursday, we had our first family challenge on the Putt-Putt course last night (Chuck beat Chris by ONE), and we're going to a Water Park and Broadway By the Beach today. It's hard to believe this week is almost over. Chuck and I have been married for one week today and he's still standing! : )

Myrtle Beach Notes

We're enjoying our first real vacation together in Myrtle Beach. Chuck is calling it Honeymoon Part I, don't know where we will go for Part II but it won't be here. LOL.

Our friends Greg and Gayle Haywood offered us their condo for the first half of our stay and it was great! Thank you, Greg and Gayle.

I just want to say the folks at Oscar's deserve your business. The food and service is great, and they are HONEST. Three days after I left an expensive Sony camera there, I called and they were holding it for us.

Sure honesty is expected, and this was a pleasant surprise.
